Controling the Marquee

The Select Menu

The Select menu has everything you need for controling your marquee.

Select Menu	Keyboard	Action
All	command-A	selects entire area of canvas
Deselect	command-D	gets rid of the marquee
Reselect	shift-command-D	if you change your mind and want the marquee back
Inverse	shift-command-I	inverses the selection
Hide	command-H	Hides the marquee (not available through the menu)

• The keyboard commands for Deselect, Inverse, and Hide are definately worth memorizing.
• The Hide command is useful but can lead to problems if you forget that your selection is hidden. It's quite frustrating when you cannot figure out why your Gaussian Blur is only working on part of an image.
